HTC Desire HD Review

Expected for its release in October this year, HTC Desire HD was finally launched during a special occasion in London, in presence of a great crowd. The HTC Desire HD comes across as a great competition to a couple of other smartphones already established in the market. With some excellent features that form part of the smartphone it is ready for this kind of competition.?

The smartphone has a 4.3 inch display screen plus it employs Android 2.2. The accessories it comes with are quite appealing just as users would expect. These accessories include a USB charger and a microUSB data cable. It has everything a user would need. The headset is accompanied by some music controls that allow music to be played, paused or skipped. But users can choose another headset over this, as the smartphone also comes with an audio jack measuring 3.5mm.

The HTC Sense User Interface has a great format. The RAM and CPU have definitely improved considering the increased screen size and resolution. Because of the new Android 2.2, the Sense User Interface has better speed, is more flexible and has an attractive look. It also has some fresh wallpapers as well as a widget. The icons also have a different kind of appeal to them.

HTC Desire retains the features of its phonebook as its previous version however there are some further options. Apart from the regular contact name and different numbers, photos can be added easily. Another addition is that the screen 5 tabs at the bottom. The tabs lead you to the messages sent from a name in the phonebook. Other tabs are for messages from Facebook contacts, call history and emails sent by a contact.

The smartphone allows sending and receiving all kinds of messages such as emails, MMS, SMS and so on, where IMs can also be carried out using GTalk. The QWERTY keyboard present on the screen works well with people used to a touchscreen. It can be used in both modes viz. portrait and landscape. Apart from the usual 5 mp camera the HTC Desire is a smartphone worth buying.??
